Being in the cycle industry from school, James has ridden, raced, and worked as a mechanic for over 20 years.
He has also worked as a freelance MTB guide and coach for the last 15 years and has worked on the Mountain Bike World Cup race circuit as a factory team mechanic since 2012.
With riding experience in locations all over the world from West Yorkshire to the Indian Himalaya and lots of places in between.
